Damenn L. Simon

Damenn L. Simon

Damenn L. Simon was born on July 16, 1972, to Bernice E. Simon. He transitioned from this life unexpectedly on March 26, 2022.

He was educated in the East Cleveland School District and where he received a certificate in Auto body.

Damenn was a born entrepreneur, destined for greatness. His biggest fan and greatest influencer was his mom. Two peas in a pod, no wrong was ever seen in either of their eyes. Together they opened Club Dew Drop, Mom and Pops, and many others. He was extremely ambitious, worked hard and continued achieving his dreams, and launched many other businesses.

Damenn embodied what a true friend is, a giver in every sense of the word. He was loyal, trustworthy, dependable always willing to assist in any way he could. He would give you the shirt off his back literally.

The majority of Damenn’s friendships were developed in his adolescence. His friends, who became his brothers were chosen from his heart.

Damenn was a great father and Grandfather. His provisions for them had no end. The fuel that has been left for them is enough to last a lifetime.

Damenn will be greatly missed. From his subtle, but powerful presence, his beautiful smile, and that twinkle in his eye. He was always willing to teach as long as you are willing to learn and listen. He wore so many hats and the funny thing about it was he wore them all well. Let’s not talk about his jokes, we all know sometimes he could take them too far, and then he would be quick to say just kidding, it’s a joke.

His legacy will forever live in everyone he touched. Damenn’s passing leaves to mourn his oldest Brother, Orlando L. Simon, his children whom he loved dearly, Jasmin, Damenn, Oravetta, Malik (who preceded him in death), Daon, and Kayden. His Grandchildren, who held a very special place in his heart, Nyomi, Caleb, Erin, Damenn, Josiah, Darnell, and baby Mariah Lynn. His business partner and his better half Terri Shurney. He also leaves to mourn a host of Aunts and Uncles, Nieces and Nephews, and Friends.

We should all find comfort in knowing that Damenn is reunited with his mother (Bernice), Grandmother (Magnolia), Son (Malik), and his best friend/Cousin/Brother (Jermaine). Let the work he’s done and the lives he has touched speak for him

Humbly submitted,

The Family
