Charline B. Ontis

Charline B. Ontis, 97, of Springfield, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. She was born on June 29, 1924, in Springfield, the daughter of Carl A. and Ella (Brown) Cormeny and they preceded her in death.

She is also preceded in death by one daughter, Janice Kidd; two sisters, Dorothy Vice and Marianne Page; and two brothers, Jim and Carl Cormeny.

Survivors include two daughters, Alice A. (Bob) Brandon of Chatham and Sandra K. (Dick) Kahne of Springfield; one son-in-law, Bob Kidd; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three
great-great-grandchildren.

Charline was a lifelong resident of Springfield. She belonged to Southern View Chapel. She was an account technician for the State of Illinois, retiring after 27 years of service.

Visitation: 9:30 am – 11:30 am, Monday, October 25, 2021 at Southern View Chapel.

Funeral Service: 11:30 am, Monday, October 25, 2021 at Southern View Chapel, with Pastor Gary Gilley officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to Southern View Chapel.
