Charles W. Harvey Jr.

At some point during a few days prior to April 4, 2022, God, the only giver, sustainer, and taker of life, withdrew that sacred gift of physical existence from a very special brother and uncle, Charles W. Harvey, Jr.

Charles Washington Harvey, Jr. was born on June 27, 1956, to the late Charles W. Harvey, Sr. and Marguerite Harvey. He graduated from Glenville High School, later attending University of Montana at Billings until a catastrophic car accident change the promising trajectory of his life. Charles, call Chucky by many, continued to persevere despite the medical limitations placed on his life because of the accident. He was able to work as a school bus driver, and a city employee periodically. He joined the Zion Hill Baptist Church at an early age. After becoming somewhat discouraged, Chuckie grew in his religious education and experiences through many years of self-study, and various telecommunication preaching. During the pandemic, he was drawn to the inspired teaching and preaching of Pastor Byron E. Williams, Bethel Baptist Church, Troy, NY via their phone-conference call services. Chucky loved to write poetry, play cards, listen to jazz, play ping-pong, and even played the piano at one point.

Chucky leave to cherish his memory his big brother Jerome “Ronnie” Harvey (M. Lee) Albany, NY; nephews, JJ Harvey (Chantel) Albany, NY and RJ Harvey (Whittney) Tampa FL; six grandnephews; as well as other cousins, special friend and acquaintances.

He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Marguerite; adopted brother Willie B. Harvey; nephew, CJ Harvey.
