Bryan E. Sayre

Bryan E. Sayre, 63, of Dennison, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in Community Hospice-Truman House at New Philadelphia, following a period of declining health.

Born in Akron, he was the son of the late Earl N. and Katherine J. (Pursley) Sayre and a graduate of the former Lakeland High School at Freeport. Bryan had retired from the Harrison County Highway Department after 36 years of service.

He is survived by three brothers, Sandy (Kathy) Sayre of Bolivar, Bob (Kathy) Sayre of Aberdeen, Washington and George (Crystal) Sayre of Cadiz; two sisters, Frances Sullivan of Uhrichsville and Katie (Scott) Glazier of Port Washington and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 beginning at 1 PM in the Geib Funeral Center at Dover with Rev. Terry Wilcox officiating. Visitation will be from 12 PM until the time of the service.

In keeping with his wishes, Bryan will be cremated though the care of the Geib Funeral Center & Crematory at Dover and a private burial will take place at a later date.

It was his wish that memorial contributions be directed to either Community Hospice – Truman House, 716 Commercial Avenue SW, New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663 or, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
