Brooklyn was born on Aug. 10, 2003, in Cedar Rapids. She was such a beautiful, bright soul who made any room light up. Brooklyn loved dancing and making hundreds of videos with her family, especially her siblings, nieces and nephews. If you knew Brooks (as her family called her), you would know she loved everyone and made you feel loved.

She loved her brothers and sisters and she knew how to show them she ran them no matter what! Her smile was so contagious. Brooks enjoyed traveling, especially her favorite trip to Santa Monica with her brother, DeVante. She also spent many hours with her sister, Ayanna, watching movies and talking, and with her sister, Mickie, caring for her nieces and nephews and being a wonderful aunt.

Brooks’ Mom, Angela, was her best friend and inspiration, she couldn’t go a minute without her. Her Dad, Mickey, was always the steady one guiding her to success. Brooks’ entire family will miss her voice, her laugh, all of the funny nicknames, silly squeals, and screams she did.

Her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends will also miss her love and friendship. She never judged and always loved.

She was preceded in death by her uncle, Kevin, and cousin, Marissa.

Memorials may be directed to her family.

Please share your love and support and with Brooks’ family on her Tribute Wall at www.stewartbaxter.com under Obituaries.
