Betty Readel

Betty was born Betty Jean Minor, on 18 November 1944 at Bell’s Hospital in Williamsburg.  She died at her home on April 4,  2022, in Elmwood. She was preceded in death by her daughter Donna Jean, her father Charles Minor, her mother Alice Minor, her brother Charles Minor Jr. and by her sister Linda Marks. She is survived by her  husband of 60 years Donald V. Readel; her sons Donald Jr, Darren, and Davis; her grand daughter Daniel ; great great granddaughter Andrea, and her sister Mary M. Morgan. Betty’s family has a long heritage in Colonial Williamsburg, with ties to the Travis family in Jamestown, and her paternal Grandmother Lavina Armistead.

Donations to the Hospice house of Williamsburg would be appreciated. Graveside services will be held at Williamburg Memorial Park on April 8, 2002 at 1pm.
