Wesley Shields

Born in Merced, CA. to the late Wesley and Sylvia Shields, Wes passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 16, 2015 at his home in Alameda, CA. at the age of 83.
Wes was preceded in death by his beloved wife Helen Shields, and is survived by his son Michael, and his brother Robert Shields.
Wes graduated from U.C. Berkeley, and obtained his law degree from Boalt Hall. He was a retired lawyer with a long career as a defense attorney in both San Francisco and Oakland. Known as a passionate advocate, he successfully assisted hundreds of clients and their families with their legal issues, and often exerted extraordinary efforts where child welfare was involved.
Wes was a supportive and loving friend. He will be deeply missed by his immediate and extended family in Alameda.
Per his wishes, there will be no services. Donations in Wes memory can be made to a charity of your choice.
