Vernon King

Vernon Leon King, 73 of Pine Bluff passed away Thursday at his home. He was born March 27, 1952 in Winnsboro, La. to the late Charles B. and Vera Clark King. He was a self-employed sub-contractor, a member of the Pine Bluff Bass Club for many years, a member of the Carmel Hunting Club at Warren and was a veteran of the National Guard.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, C. Ray King, Roy King and a sister, Nancy Crane.

Survivors include his wife, Deborah Lynn King, a son, Bryan King (Nancy), a daughter, Barbara King (Dexter Bell), and a brother, Rex King all of Pine Bluff.

Other survivors include three grandchildren, Ryan King (Jacey) of White Hall, Branson Myers (Megan Humphrey), of Pine Bluff, Jared King (Tate) of East End and four great grandchildren, Nolan, Blair, Norah and Hallie King.

Visitation will be Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 1:00 PM until the funeral service starts at 2:00 PM at the Griffin Funeral Service Chapel in Star City, with Bro. Theodis Edwards officiating. Arrangements by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City. Online guestbook www.griffinfuneralservice.net
