Trudy Lynn Diaz, 67, passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at the Freedom Village Rehabilitation Center.
She was the beloved wife and lifelong companion of David C. Barnes, with whom she shared over 34 amazing years.
Born and raised in Coatesville, Trudy was the daughter of the late Charles A. Pluck (2009) and Ruthanne “June” Osborne Pluck (2022).
Trudy had a servant’s heart and lived selflessly, continually putting others before herself. After decades of working in the medical field, her patience, loyalty, and reliability made her a blessing to all clients, family, & friends.
Trudy loved nothing more than her annual vacations to the Outer Banks, where she enjoyed the ever-changing landscapes, dunes, beaches, & leisure.
In addition to her husband, Dave, Trudy is survived by her sisters, Sara Anne Moore and Wendy J. Walters; her stepmother, Kay Pluck; her nephew, Derrick Burkey; and her nieces, Chloe Burkey and Brittany (Daniel) Steel.
Trudy was also predeceased by her brother, Charles Robert Pluck (1988), and nephew, David C. Moore (2014).
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 from 9:30 to 10:45 am at the Downingtown location of the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Ave., Downingtown, where her funeral service will take place at 11 am.
