Tom Reid

Tom Reid, of Yonkers, NY, originally from Ballygub, Inistioge, County Kilkenny, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loving family, on Saturday, August 30. He was 92 years old.

Beloved husband of the late Astrid Reid, Tom was also predeceased by his son, Robert Emmitt Reid.

He will be deeply missed by his children, Eamonn, Tommy, and Deirdre, along with his daughters-in-law, Pauline and Jennifer. He was a devoted grandfather to his three grandsons—Tommy, Connor, and Cillian—and his three granddaughters—Enya, Aoife, and Carissa—and cherished great-grandfather of two. He is also fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law, extended family, neighbors, and a wide circle of friends.

Tom was the youngest of six children born to the late Thomas and Anne Reid, all of whom predeceased him.

By trade, Tom was a master mason, but for many years he owned and operated an auto body shop in Scarsdale. He had a great love of the outdoors, and golf became a lifelong passion.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 4, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. in Hodder Farenga Funeral Home, 899 McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at 10:45 A.M. in St. Barnabas Church, Bronx, NY

Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hastings-On-Hudson, NY
