Timothy Zarpentine
- April 4, 2025

Timothy W. “Tim” Zarpentine, 61, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 24, 2025 in Harrisburg.
He was born on September 10, 1963 to the late DeVere and Mary (Bushko) Zarpentine in Spencerport, New York.
Tim was a beloved father, partner, and friend, and his life was a testament to his passion for helping others, always putting their needs before his own, and spreading kindness wherever he went.
After graduating from high school, he pursued his education with determination. Tim earned his undergraduate degree in Technology Education at Buffalo State University where he found a deep love for teaching. He went on to study and did graduate work at the University of Miami. While he enjoyed educating and inspiring others, Tim’s true passion was working with his hands.
Tim joined the Moose Lodge in August on 1992, becoming a member of Indiana Lodge #174. He then proceeded to join Moose Legion #84, Penn Progress, in October of 1993. He became very active in his lodge and served on the Board of Directors from 1993 through 2024 in various capacities. He was a two-term Governor, serving in 1995/96 and 1996/97. Tim was selected and conferred his Fellowship Degree of Honor in July of 1999. He was recommended and conferred the highest degree a man can earn in the Moose, the Pilgrim Degree of Merit, in May of 2007. He was appointed by Moose International to serve in the position of Deputy Supreme Governor for the 2011/12 Moose year. Tim was also very active with the Pennsylvania Moose Association. He served in various capacities over the years and served in all chairs of the Executive Committee, serving as State President from 2016/17.
Tim’s love for craftsmanship began in high school, where he discovered his talent for woodworking. This passion followed him into college and, ultimately, his professional life. He went on to own and operate his own successful contracting business, where he was known for his meticulous attention to detail and dedication to his craft.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Tim had a rich and fulfilling life. He was an avid lover of puzzles and spent hours challenging his mind with them. He also had a deep connection to nature, enjoying time outdoors and cultivating his garden. Tim was especially proud of his work in the garden, where he grew a variety of fruits and vegetables, with his squashes being a true point of pride.
Tim’s legacy lives on through his family, friends, and the many lives he touched throughout his journey. His kindness, creativity, and zest for life will be remembered by all who knew him.
Tim is survived by his significant other, Julie James; son, Johnathan Zarpentine and wife Ashley; daughter, Sarah Zarpentine and fiancé Joe Lamb; brother, Daniel Zarpentine; and sister, Julie Spicer.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at Moose Lodge #174, 425 N 4th St, Indiana, PA 15701, from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
