Terry Alan “Tooge” Richardson, 64, of Martinsville, passed away on Friday, October 10th, 2025, at The Waters of Martinsville after a four-year battle with failing health. He was welcomed into this world on Monday, December 5th, 1960, in Martinsville, Indiana. Terry was the second of five sons born to Donald Eugene and Barbara Jean (Allen) Richardson.
A lifelong resident of Martinsville, “Tooge”, as he was more commonly known, graduated from Martinsville High School with the Class of 1979. After graduation, he worked for Broyer Construction and farmed for Larry Scott before beginning a long career with National Wine & Spirits in Indianapolis, which later became Monarch Beverage Company. He was a dedicated employee for more than 25 years before his health declined and he was forced to take an early retirement.
Before his illness, Terry also farmed his own land for several years—something he truly loved. An outdoorsman at heart, he enjoyed spending his time hunting mushrooms, riding his three-wheeler, deer hunting, fishing, farming, and doing just about anything that kept him close to nature and country life.
Terry is survived by his mother, Barbara Richardson of Martinsville; brother, Perry (Janice) Richardson of Martinsville; uncle, Billy Allen of Martinsville; nephew, Dillan Richardson; nieces, Jennifer (Tyler) Cherry, Lori (Scott) Zoller, Stephanie (Jamie) Hart, and Carrie (Chris) Jones; and three great-nieces, all of whom will cherish his memory.
Those preceding him in death include his father, Donald Eugene Richardson and three brothers, Alvin, Kevin and John Richardson.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, October 14th, 2025, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Neal & Summers Funeral Home in Martinsville. A service celebrating his life and legacy will begin immediately following the visitation at 1:00 pm. Terry’s earthly remains will be laid to rest in New South Park Cemetery in Martinsville.
Condolences and memories are encouraged to be shared with the Richardson family online at www.nealandsummers.com
