Suzanne Lawson

Suzanne Lawson, 80, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 11:11 P.M. Saturday, October 18, 2025, at her home. She was born July 18, 1945, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Robert and Francis (Brown) McCrory. She married Michael Lawson on March 8, 1964, at the First Christian Church in Hoopeston. He preceded her in death on May 17, 2024.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Barb Snyder and one brother, Bobby McCrory.

She is survived by three daughters, Tonia Jo Lawson of Paris, IL, Lisa Kaye Martinez (Mark Mann) of Milford, IL, and Tracy Ann Lawson of Hoopeston, IL; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Suzanne worked at American National Can, which later became Silgan, for over 30 years until her retirement. She enjoyed golfing, camping with her family, and cooking. She also enjoyed bowling and making blankets. Suzanne especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation will be held 11:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Thursday October 30, 2025, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL. The memorial service will follow the visitation and will begin at 1:00 P.M. Thursday October 30th at the funeral home, with Pastor Micah Mobley officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
