Who is headliner The McCharmlys?

Taking their name from an obscure Beatles interview, The McCharmlys play a retro sound blending surf rock, 60s girl group harmonies, and old-fashioned rock and roll. LA Weekly has called them an “absolute joy” that “recall sounds from the past while adding a contemporary edge.” Their music incorporates driving guitar solos, pounding basslines and strong vocals.

The group was assembled by band leader and primary songwriter Angie Monroy in 2018, carefully selecting key players from the Santa Ana scene. Monroy writes music every day, with influences ranging from The Ramones, Roy Orbison & The Beach Boys. The band’s lush sound is rounded out by layered harmonies & instrumentation that has captivated audiences.
