Steven C. Falk, age 69, of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at ThedaCare Medical Center in Appleton. He was born on August 5, 1955 in Fond du Lac, WI, the son of the late LaSalle and Elaine (Bogenschneider) Falk.
Steve will be remembered by family, friends, and all who came to know him for his unfailing kindness, heartfelt gratitude for things great and small, and remarkable optimism in the midst of even the most trying circumstances. Even as he endured serious health challenges, it was not uncommon for his nurses to comment on what was common knowledge to those who knew him well—“what a nice man he is.” Steve was known for his exceptional recall of experiences throughout his life and his gift for telling amusing stories about them that captured the smallest of details. Among the many stories that will be long remembered are the humorous recounting of growing up as the youngest of four children, amazing road trips with his beloved Tracy, unbelievable work experiences at Rich’s Bakery, hilarious farming adventures with Grandma and Grandpa Bogenschneider, and an amusing four-hour border crossing into Canada to visit his beloved grandchildren. Steve is proceeded in death by his father, LaSalle, his mother, Elaine, and his sister-in-law, Vicky Falk. Steve is survived by his daughter, Tracy (Jad) Sinno, Toronto, Canada, his grandchildren, Pierce and Valerie, his two brothers, Marcus (Carol Falk) and Michael, his sister Rebecca (Ronald Warnke), and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 3:30 pm at Lewin Funeral Home, 210 W. Main St., Fremont. Visitation will be held at Lewin Funeral Home on Friday, from 2:00 pm until 3:30 pm. Burial will take place in Wolf River Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
