Sidney Clevinger Jr.

SIDNEY ARTHUR “JEFF” CLEVINGER JR., 66, of the Bull Creek section of Grundy, VA, passed away Saturday, August 9, 2025, at his home following an extended illness. Born in Grundy, VA, he was the son of the late Sidney Arthur Clevinger and Vertie Lee (Stiltner) Clevinger. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a loving husband and father, volunteer fire fighter and was a driller for Gasco Drilling, Inc.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Lynn (Sturgill) Clevinger; Son: Sidney Andrew Clevinger; Sisters: Glenda Jean Ratliff, Sherry Lee Clevinger and Loretta Gail Stiltner.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Nathaniel Wade Clevinger; Brothers-in-Law: Burl Ratliff and Kenny Stiltner.

Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services for SIDNEY ARTHUR “JEFF” CLEVINGER JR. will be conducted Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Clevinger Family Cemetery with Pastor Eddie Wilson officiating with burial to follow.

Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
