Shirely R. Wheatcraft, 73
Shirley R. Wheatcraft, 73 of Mansfield passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025 in Ohio Health Mansfield Hospital.
She was born on April 19, 1952 in South Shore, Kentucky the daughter of the late John Dee Sr. and Viola (nee McFarlin) McClurg.
Shirley graduated from Portsmouth High School, Class of 1970.
Throughout her life, she was an avid canine companion and a volunteer at the local food banks, because she just loved being around people and listening to their stories. She also loved going to garage sales to find treasures.
She is survived by five children, James Wheatcraft, Tina Wheatcraft, Sonia Wheatcraft, Penny Weaver, and Angela Gurka; ten grandchildren, Irene, Dustin, and Austin Wheatcraft, Ricki Bertram, Ariel McMillen, Cruz and Mackenzie Flick, Cynthia Wells, Carissa and Robby Gurka; numerous great grandchildren; her siblings, Patty (Kindell), Sue (Web) Boggs, Tammy Middleton, Pamela (Steve) Antonaros, Bobbie McClurg, Emma McClurg, John Dee (Sandy) McClurg Jr., James “Tony” (Karen) McClurg, David (Mary) McClurg, Mikki McClurg, and numerous extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her brothers, Jack, Ricky, Kenny and Raymond McClurg and a sister, Connie Frances McClurg.
In keeping with her wishes a private family service will be held.
