Salome Williams

Salome Ford Williams was blessed to be born into a Christian family to Deacon

David and Missionary Sarah Ann Birchmore Ford in Charlotte, North Carolina,

joining her siblings as the seventh child.

Salome was baptized and accepted Christ at an early age at Providence Baptist

Church in Charlotte, but she said she gave her life to Him at an older age.

Salome married her Love, James C. Williams, Sr. (Swank). Marrying a career

soldier, she traveled and was in God’s service wherever they were stationed. She

was the proud mother of five, grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of

eight; all of which gave her great joy.

Salome Ford Williams was confident and joyous in the assurance that she was a

child of the King. Throughout her life she remained steadfast in the belief that “I

can do all things through Christ which strengthens me” – Philippians 4:13.
