Our hearts are broken as we say goodbye to Ryan Absolon, who passed away on October 6, 2025. A kind and patient man, he was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandson, and nephew.
Ryan was an incredible husband, and the best dad. We will forever cherish the beautiful memories we made together as a family. We are so grateful for every minute we had, every laugh we shared, and every obstacle we faced together.
I will forever miss his laugh, the way he so carefully peeled the “strings” off mandarin oranges for our son, his excitement when the Green Bay Packers won a game, the loud beat of the drums in our home, his drawings on our family calendar for holidays, his passion for brewing craft beer, his ability to fix anything and everything, and his immense love for us.
His generous heart, warm spirit, and gentle presence touched everyone he met. Though our time with him was too short, his kind spirit and immense capacity for love will always live on in our hearts.
He is survived by his wife, Heather Absolon; his son, Rowan Absolon; his mother, Susan Cline; his brother, Kevin Absolon; and a community of friends and family who will miss him beyond measure.
Ryan was proceeded in death by his father, Jeffrey Absolon and our dogs, Gordy and Marley whom I know he is greeting with the biggest smile and the tightest hug.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Chicago, IL at the end of January/beginning of February 2026. There will be more details to come.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Blood Cancer United to honor his memory and help others in their fight.
