Rose Rooker

 Rose Ann Rooker, 70, of International Falls, Minnesota died on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the Good Samaritan Society – International Falls.

She was born on June 13, 1955, to Floyd and Lucille Milender in Warroad, MN.

Rose worked at the A & W Restaurant in her younger days, and when her children were born, she became a homemaker.

Rose enjoyed various crafts, and going to bingo and listening to music with family and friends at the VFW. She liked to visit with her many friends at the woodland apartments, and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her great-granddaughter.

Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Rooker; father, Floyd Milender; mother, Lucille Dion; son-in-law, Charles Hoppe Sr., brothers, Gene Dion, and Daniel Milender.

Rose is survived by her children, Melissa Hoppe of International Falls, Clinton (Christine) Rooker of Fort Frances, Ontario, CA, Mindy (Lenny) Wilson of International Falls; grandchildren, Angela, Charlie, Dakota, Caytlin, Carley, Hunter, and Allison; great-granddaughter, Savanna; siblings, Melvin (Mary Lou) of Bemidji, MN, Barbara Jines of Ellsworth, WI, Sharon Westmiller (Milender) of Florida, Doris (Bill) of Blaine, MN, Sheila Hakl of International Falls, Fred Milender of Virginia, MN, Marilyn (Bob) Hakl of South Dakota, and Joseph (Jill) Dion of North Dakota; special friend Ricki Johnson; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the staff at Rainy Lake Medical Center and the Good Samaritan Society Nursing Facility of International Falls for the special care given to our mother in her time of need.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted at the Peter Graham VFW Post 2948 on Tuesday, July 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
