Rose Raymond

Rose Helen Raymond (Csiteji) of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, just eight days after her husband Bill passed.

Rose was born on December 6, 1932, in Chesaning, Michigan, the daughter of Mary Csiteji (Miller) and John Csiteji. She was cherished by her five siblings—brothers John (Jack) and James (Jimmie), and sisters Mary Ann (Mayo), Barbara and Jane. The six siblings remained close throughout their lives, a constant source of joy and support for Rose. While attending St. Paul’s, Rose became a spirited cheerleader for the Blue Waves, rooting for her high school sweetheart and future husband Bill in both football and basketball. They graduated together in 1951.

After a short stint as a secretary at Midland Ross in Owosso, Rose welcomed Bill home from military service overseas. The newlyweds spent a brief period in Victoria, Texas, where Bill was stationed, before returning to Owosso to begin their life together. They were married at St. Paul’s Catholic Church on November 19, 1955.

The couple were proud parents to four children- William Jr. (Barb) Michael, (Susan), Linda Dice (John) and Craig, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. While Bill worked at Midland Ross, Rose poured her energy into raising active children. She was a constant presence at Little League games, high school sports, and cheerleading events, ensuring her children always knew she was their greatest supporter. Rose encouraged her children to live with integrity and compassion. Her home was always a place of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.

Rose lived her life grounded in two guiding principles—faith and family. She was a devout member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, rarely missing a Saturday evening or Sunday morning Mass. Whether volunteering at funeral dinners or lending a hand wherever needed, Rose served her parish with humility and joy. Standing beside her in church, hearing her sing, was to experience a sense of calm, beauty, and grace. Her nearly 70-year marriage to Bill was built on mutual devotion, shared faith, and steadfast love. She instilled in her children the importance of kindness, respect, and standing up for those without a voice—values rooted in her deep Catholic faith.

Upon retirement, Rose and Bill moved to Fountain Hills, Arizona, spending summers at their cottage on Hess Lake in West Michigan. The cottage became the family’s summer haven, filled with boat rides, laughter, and gatherings that drew children, grandchildren, and friends alike. No matter where she was, Rose remained in close contact with her entire family.

Rose’s life was one of love, faith, and selflessness. Her devotion to her husband, her children, her church, and her community continue to guide all who knew her.
