Ronald Akers

Ronald D. Akers, 75, of Rome, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, September 21, 2025. He was born in Kentucky on September 20, 1950. Ron served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He was always known as a Harley Davidson man and loved to ride his Harley.

Ron is survived by two daughters, Michelle Beck (Jason) and Karrie Guck (William); his caregiver and former wife, Tina Akers, and her children Michael Burgess (Corrie) and Heather Dunderman (Austin); his “second family,” Jasper and Joan Westcott and family; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Ron’s family would like to thank all of his wonderful friends for all of their love and support.

In keeping with Ron’s wishes, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
