Robert Lee

Bob Lee passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Ivy, his son Scott (Alice), and his two grandchildren, Travis and Audrey. Although we miss him dearly, we view the almost-five years since he was diagnosed with—and survived—pancreatic cancer (a disease with a 10% survival rate) as some of the best years of his life. During this time, Bob traveled widely with Ivy (boarding many cruise ships and visiting their favorite beaches on Hawaii), continued to deeply explore his passions (Civil War and WWII Pacific Theater history, genealogy, and personal finance), tried new foods, and made new friends. He also came to know, love, and take care of his two grandchildren, who fondly call him their “Gung Gung.” Bob made tremendous use of his “bonus time” on earth and left the world on a high note.

Professionally, Bob spent his career at the Internal Revenue Service, was a certified public accountant, a certified fraud examiner, a certified financial planner, and held a master’s degree in taxation. More importantly, he was a loving father and husband, a patient teacher, a fierce advocate, a loyal Warriors fan, and an avid dog lover. He continuously sought to improve himself and used his talents to assist anyone who asked for his help. He was also brave, supporting

Scott and Ivy while Ivy underwent her own bout with pancreatic cancer in 2010 (Bob often referred to his and Ivy having both survived “his and hers” pancreatic cancers). Bob will be sorely missed, celebrated, and loved by all who knew him.
