Rita Faye Bevins Cropper, age 67, of Tollesboro, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, at UK Healthcare in Lexington, Kentucky.

Rita was born April 20, 1958, in Lewis County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Louis and Lorene May Bevins.

She attended Union Baptist Church and enjoyed watching her grandson race, along with watching her grandaughter compete in pageants. She looked forward to daily Face Time calls from her grandchildren, as she always enjoyed that special time with them to chat. Her grandchildren were always her number one priority, spoiling them with her homemade biscuits and gravy is what she did best.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son Gary James Cropper; four brothers, Donald Bevins, Calvin Bevins, Allen Bevins, Jimmy Bevins; five sisters, Peggy Bramel, Joyce Earls, Carrie Rose, Bonnie Sue Bevins and Garnett Bevins.

Rita is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Gary Cropper; two sons, Michael Cropper (LaCassa) of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Kurt (Alicia) Cropper of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; one daughter, Delta Pruitt of Vanceburg, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren, Dedrea, Dustin, Gabby, Gracey, Gage, Everleigh, Daniel; 3 great-grandchildren, Michael, Henry, Emerson; one brother, Roger Bevins of Vanceburg, Kentucky; two sisters, Rosie Noble of Tollesboro, Kentucky; Rena (Ronnie) Meadows of Petersville, Kentucky, along with many other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2025 at Tollesboro Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 11918 KY 57, Tollesboro, Kentucky, with Brother Phil Cropper officiating. Burial will be follow in Burtonville Cemetery.

Friends may visit after 9:30 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2025, until the service hour at Tollesboro Funeral Home.

Kurt Cropper, Michael Cropper, Gage Cropper, Dustin Stone, Michael Scott and Roger Bevins will serve as pallbearers.
