Rickey West
Rickey Lee West, 72, of Star City passed away Thursday, June 19th, 2025 at his home. He was born September 5, 1952 in Malvern, AR to the late Nellie Mae Ledbetter-West and J. C. West.
He was a retired millwright. He loved spending time outdoors hunting, fishing and swinging on the porch watching his grandkids and great grandkids play. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Terry West and Jimmy West and great grandson Ryan Russell.
Rickey is survived by his wife of 54 years, Audrey Henley West; two daughters, Tanya (Wayne) Bennett and Candy Gates, all of Star City; one brother, Joe West of Hot Springs; two sisters, Brenda (David) Nichols of Gillett and Sue Kelley of Crossett; four grandchildren, Lacey Bennett (Kenny), Dalton Bennett and Joshua Gates all of Star City, and Jarame Gates of Depew, Oklahoma; five great grandchildren, Henlee Bennett, Natalee Russell and Alaya Gates, all of Star City, and Braylee Gates and Westlan Gates of Depew, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 22, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Griffin Funeral Service in Star City. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Monday, June 23, 2025 at Griffin Funeral Service Chapel with Bro. Rickey Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Green Mount Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jarame Gates, Josh Gates, Dalton Bennett, Westlan Gates, Blake Ritcher, Kenny Russell and Wayne Bennett.
