Rev. Robert Sageser, Sr.
Rev. Robert Allen Sageser, Jr., 84, widower of Martha McFarland Sageser, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025 in Georgetown, Kentucky. Born June 3, 1941 in Georgetown, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Robert Franklin and Agnes Dean Wallace Sageser. He was employed with Kroger for over 42 years. Robert was a man dedicated to his faith and family. He was a former pastor of Penn Avenue Baptist Church, where he dedicated over four decades to serving and developing the ministry program. This also included a significant focus on nursing home ministry. Robert was an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, especially with his wife and family. In addition to his parents and wife of 63 years, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Ruby Nelson, brother, Earl Sageser, granddaughter, Brinna Sageser, and stepmother, Iva D. Sageser.
Robert will be lovingly remembered by his children, Robin (Dale) Glass, Georgetown, Bryan (Kim) Sageser, Sadieville, Robert Allen Sageser, II, Georgetown, Mark (Tracie) Tackett, Nicholasville, brother, Virgil (Jennie) Sageser, Georgetown sister, Delores (Jimmy) Rogers, Georgetown, grandchildren, Bryan Christian (Christiana) Sageser, Hailey Marie Sageser, Jordan (Haley) Tackett, Brooke (Nathan) Harper, Kaitlin (Nathan) Bellew, Jessica (Mark) Final, David (Emily) Southworth, Katelyn (Justin) Martin, Jessica (Jared) Jones, Alan Glass, Micah Tackett, Roba Tackett, great-grandchildren, Cade Final, Brayden Final, Haylie Southworth, Austin Southworth, Kingston Martin, Trayce Martin, Carson Sageser, Hannah Rowland, William Glass, Addison Glass, Cheyenne Sageser, & Ava Harper.
Memorial Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home. A private service with be held on Monday, September 29, 2025 at 11:00 am. Memorial donations are suggested to Scott County Senior Citizens Center, Meals on Wheels Program, 816 Cincinnati Road, Georgetown, KY 40324.
