Reinhold “Reiny” Schmidt

Passed away on August 10, 2025 at WRHN @ Chicopee after a brief illness at the age of 74.

Loving husband of Anna Schmidt for 48 years.

Dear dad of Erik (Diana) and Lauren.

Cherished grandpa of Layna and Miguel.

He is predeceased by his parents Alfred and Herta Schmidt, his parents-in-law: Wilmer (Annabelle) Shannon, brothers-in-law: Donald and Howard Shannon and daughter-in-law Naarah Schmidt.

He is survived by his sister-in-law Linda Shannon and brother-in-law Robert (Nancy) Shannon.

Reiny is longtime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church where he served in many roles.

Reinhold’s family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 16th, 2025 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Kitchener. A memorial service will follow visitation at Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM. All are welcome for a reception to follow.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Holy Cross Kitchener or WRHN Foundation – Cancer Center would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
