Raul Vasquez Obituary

Born in Los Angeles on Oct. 1 1929, Raul passed away on May 30,2025, Raul lived a strong catholic faith and instilled good family values. Raul raised 8 kids with wife Socorro Galindo and gave them a good catholic education in Imperial Beach.

Raul worked for Rohr Industries for 37 years as a pattern maker. He loved planes, animals, world war II movies, soccer, playing uno card game and especially big cars! Raul took his family camping and vacations to Mexico. Acambaro, Guanajuato was Raul’s favorite place and had many fond memories which he would fondly talk about since he lived there for a couple of years when he was a kid.

Raul joins his wife Socorro, son John and daughter Mary in heaven. Raul is survived by children, Henry Vasquez, Joe Vasquez, Chacha Surdyka, Socorro Fisher, Theresa Vasquez, and Raul Vasquez. Raul had 22 grandkids, 17 great-grandkids and one great-great-grandson. Raul’s love for his family and strong catholic faith will be missed.
