Randall Lloyd Longfellow, 71, of Carmel, IN, passed away at 3:00 P.M. Friday, September 12, 2025, at his home. He was born on October 20, 1953, at Lakeview Hospital in Danville, IL, the son of Lester Lloyd and Mary Frances (Scott) Longfellow Sr.
He is survived by two sisters, Rhonda Longfellow and DiAnna (Marv) Gudeman; two brothers, Lester (Jeanette) Longfellow Sr. and Stanley Longfellow; and five nieces and nephews, Dale (Emily) Longfellow, Todd (Kesa) Longfellow, Michelle Longfellow, Megan (Mike) Gagnon, and Scott Cornelius.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Longfellow Sr. and brother-in-law, Dave Cornelius.
Randy was a Senior Design Engineer, working for Gaylor Electric for 36 years. He was truly Gaylor Blue through and through as he was instrumental in helping the company become an international contractor with a reputation of quality and reliability. He will be greatly missed by all the Gaylor group. Randy loved his dogs and was an avid antique collector. He enjoyed vintage radios and collecting Beatles memorabilia. Randy was a patriot and was proud to be an American.
Visitation will be held 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Friday, September 19, 2025, at Anderson Funeral Home, 427 E. Main St., Hoopeston, IL. The funeral service will follow the visitation and will begin at 12:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home with Bruce Ristow officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
