Ralph Luciano
Ralph Roland Luciano, 76, walked through Heaven’s gates to be greeted by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, June 12, 2025. Ralph was born on January 29, 1949 in Altoona, PA; a son of the late Daniel A. and Anna Mae (Warrender) Luciano. On May 19, 1973, he was united in marriage to the former Donna Jean (Pekar) Luciano.
Along with his wife of fifty-three years he is survived by children Eddie Luciano married to Jamie, Ashville, PA and Danielle Montler married to Joshua, State College, PA; grandchildren Allison Luciano, Emily Luciano, Alyssa Montler and Seth Montler; siblings Debbie Ross married to Ron and Marcy Hoover, countless nieces, nephews and friends. He is also survived by his beloved dog “Penelope”
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Sharen Ferguson.
Ralph was a graduate of Altoona High School class of 1967 and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in religious studies from Northeast Bible College. He also received his Certificate of Ordination from the International Alliance of Chaplain Corps.
He spent his working years as an airbrake mechanic for Conrail and Norfolk Southern, retiring in 2005.
Ralph was a member of The Journey Church in Hollidaysburg, PA. He also had a life of service to his community. He volunteered as a Chaplain for UPMC Altoona Hospital as well as the Chaplain for the Logan Township United Fire Department. He drove school van for Altoona School District; he loved and cared about the kids that he transported.
Ralph loved The Lord and always enjoyed studying His word. He was a Penn State Football and Wrestling fan and also enjoyed watching the Miami Dolphins and New York Yankees play.
He enjoyed hunting, playing pickleball when spending his winters in Florida and tending to his tomato garden. Above all else he relished the times he got to spend with his children and grandchildren.
Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at The Good funeral Home, Inc., 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, PA from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at The Good Funeral Home, Inc., Altoona, PA with Pastor Jeremiah Baker officiating.
If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made in Ralph’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38015.
Burial will take place at Alto Reste Park, Altoona, PA.
