Phyllis Stanley

Phyllis Jean Stanley, age 76 of Ecorse, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at her home.

She was a retired Healthcare Worker in the Environmental Service and a member of the Piso Free Will Baptist Church.

Phyllis was born in Pikeville, Kentucky on December 19, 1948, a daughter of the late Luther and Dora Margaret Ray Young.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Washington “J.W.” Young, Gary Ray Young and a sister, Justine Maynard Phillips.

She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Leigh Stanley (Wesley) Nutt of Wyandotte, Michigan and a brother, John Young of Varney, Kentucky.

She is also survived by a grandson, Joshua Nutt of Michigan and a great-granddaughter, Aubrey Nutt.

Visitation will be after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at the Piso Free Will Baptist Church with evening services at 7:00 p.m. and also Wednesday, August 13, 2025 with evening services at 7:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Piso Free Will Baptist Church with Bobby Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in the Young Cemetery at Brushy, Kentucky.
