Paul Mark Bartlett, Jr., 88, of Las Cruces, New Mexico, passed away peacefully at home on July 2, 2025.
Paul was born on November 14, 1936, in Ellsworth, Wisconsin, to Paul Sr. and Stella Bartlett. He proudly served in the United States Army from November 25, 1953, until his honorable discharge on December 9, 1956.
In his early years, Paul worked as an auto body technician and later enjoyed a long career at Andersen Windows in Bayport, Minnesota. He was a hardworking man with a quick wit and a gift for storytelling—many of which turned out to be jokes. He often said he missed his true calling as a stand-up comedian. Paul had a great love for old cars, his Harley-Davidson, and anything sweet.
He was married to Jane, with whom he had three daughters: Kimberle, Connie, and Bobbi Jo. Later in life, in 1990, he found love again and married Patty, and together they had two daughters, Sabdy and Nicole. Family meant everything to Paul, and he was proud of each and every one of his children and grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his devoted wife, Patty; daughters Connie Ajer (Charles), Bobbi Bartlett (James), Sabdy Bartlett (Brian), and Nicole Conklin (David); sisters Sharon Miller (Robert) and JoAnne Jespersen (Steve); and eight beloved grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Sr. and Stella; his daughter, Kimberle; and his sisters, Alice Hove and Roxanne Vehrs.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 10, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at La Paz–Graham’s Funeral Home in Las Cruces. Following the service, friends and family are invited to celebrate Paul’s life at Hacienda de Mesilla from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with food and drinks.
Paul’s humor, warmth, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
