Patricia “Patti” (Nuse) Daugherty

Patricia ‘Patti’ K. (Nuse) Daugherty, 77, of Altoona went to be with the Lord on Sunday at UPMC
Altoona after a brave battle with Pancreatic cancer.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Milford P. and Lois J. (Butler) Nuse.
Patti married Donald E. Daugherty on August 16, 1969, and they shared 55 wonderful years
together.
She is survived by her husband; son, Tom Daugherty (Heather); brother, Richard Nuse; sisters,
Carole Rhodes (Gary), and Laurel Macdonald (Duncan); grandchildren, Miranda Daugherty,
Caleb Daugherty, Brayden Daugherty, James Harlow and Tessa Harlow; and great-grandchildren,
Ava Harlow, Leia Daugherty, Oliver McCulley, Skylynn Kennedy and Savayah
Kennedy.
Patti was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; brother, Dave Nuse; and sister,
Deborah Meese.
She was a 1966 graduate of Altoona Area High School.
Patti worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Altoona Hospital, and cherished her role as a homemaker
for her husband and son.
She was a member of the Abundant Life Church in Altoona.
Patti had a servant heart and shared the love of God through mission trips with Don to Bolivia,
Israel, Argentina, Ecuador, Venezuela, Austria and Hawaii. She enjoyed gardening, bird
watching, coloring, deer watching in their backyard, and especially loved the trips with her
grandchildren to Cape May and Pittsburgh.
Patti was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed
by everyone that knew and loved her.

Friends and family will be received at The Good Funeral Home, Inc, Alto-Reste Park, on
Thursday, May 8th from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M, and on Friday, May 9 from 10:00 AM until the
11:00 A.M. funeral service. Pastor Herb Wireback officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Patti’s name may be sent to Abundant Life Church,
231 Howard Ave., Altoona, PA 16601. If friends desire to send flowers, please consider potted
plants or flowers that can serve as a lasting memory of Patti.
Interment will take place at Alto-Reste Park.
