Nicholas Lombardo
‘Forever Young’
It is with deep love and broken hearts that we announce the passing of our Dad, Nicholas Lombardo, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully surrounded by his children after a long medical battle in which he fought valiantly.
Nicholas was born in Catanzaro, Italy, to Graziano and Sofia Lombardo in 1952. He was a proud Italian son whose heritage shaped his passion for life, food, and family. After joining his family in the United States, he grew up in the Bronx, and eventually settled in Harrison, where he became a local fixture — known affectionately by many as “Nicky the Pizza Man” for over 40 years.
His service in the family business was more than a place to eat — it was a second home to neighbors, friends, and countless young athletes he coached over the years. Nick absolutely loved watching the Yankees and Rangers, and would leap at the chance to get his kids involved in sports and community activities.
Nick brought joy to many – through his food, sharp wit, kitschy laugh, and unmistakable generosity.
Above all else, Nicholas was a devoted family man. He is survived by his loving children, Sofia and Nicky Jr., his daughter-in law Samantha and his son in law, Javier. He absolutely cherished his grandchildren, Sebastian and Esmé Blue. He is also survived by his three siblings, Victor, Maria and Elsa and his precious nieces and nephews.
He lived by the simple but powerful motto: “Forever young.” It guided the way he approached life — with spirit, humor, and boundless love.
His absence in our lives will be immeasurable, but his feist for life will be replicated through those he loved.
