Nancy Madelyn (Jahnige) Sirois, of Stratford, died on Monday, September 22, 2025. She was born on June 24, 1942 to William and Kathryn (McNaught) Jahnige in West Haven. Nancy’s early days in West Haven were spent ice skating, dancing and anything involving the water. She had a lifelong love of swimming and boating.
Nancy graduated from West Haven High School. She had lived in Washington, DC and Rabat, Morocco. She spent her retirement at the home she shared with Rob in Davenport, Florida enjoying the sunshine and entertaining her many friends who would visit. While home in Stratford, she and Rob enjoyed many years aboard their boat the Nansea.
Nan believed strongly in giving back to the community she loved. She remained active during her retirement volunteering as a docent for the Stratford Historical Society at the Judson House. Serving meals at the Lords Kitchen was another one of the activities that gave her joy.
