Myrdell Lancaster
Myrdell Edna Lancaster, 86, of Clear Spring, MD, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025, at Lorien Assisted Living in Mt. Airy, MD.
Born April 21, 1939, in Hermann, MO, she was the daughter of the late Walter Keller and Edna Georgina (Feil) Keller.
Myrdell was a graduate of Hermann High School in Missouri and an active member of St. Paul’s Reformed Church in Clear Spring.
She retired after 23 years as an office receptionist with Westat, Inc. in Rockville, MD. Myrdell volunteered at Homewood Retirement Home and was a member of the Joseph C. Herbert Post 222 Ladies Auxiliary in Clear Spring.
She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Jimmy L. Lancaster of Clear Spring; a daughter, Wendy Putz (Matthew) of Franklin, WV; a son, Ronald Gilbert (Cathie) of Mt. Airy, MD; step-daughter, Barbara Yocum (Chris) of Alabama; five grandchildren, Matthew Tyler Putz, Susan Marilyn Putz, Caitlyn Gilbert, Conner Gilbert, and Carson Gilbert; and a great-granddaughter, Veronica Putz.
In addition to her parents, Myrdell was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Rohlfing; and a brother, Marvin Keller.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
