Michael Wall
Michael Lee Wall, age 65, passed away peacefully at his home on July 9, 2025. He was born on August 3, 1959, in American Fork, Utah, to Lehman Wall and Peggy Jones Wall. The oldest of five siblings, Michael grew up with a love for sports—especially football, baseball, and basketball.
After graduating high school, Michael served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army and later the National Guard.
On August 10, 1989, Michael married the love of his life, Colleen Allison. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Provo Utah Temple on June 15, 1995. Together, they raised three sons: Shawn Wall, Zack Wall, and McKay “Booboo” Wall. Michael was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His five grandchildren—Bodee, Wyatt, Emry, Hayes, and Navy Wall—were the light of his life.
Michael retired from TSSD after a long and dedicated career. Throughout the years, he formed many lasting friendships and took great pride in both his work and the people he worked alongside. In retirement, Michael enjoyed spending more time reading. He had a strong interest in history and especially liked books that told stories from the past through historical fiction.
A lover of the outdoors, Michael found peace and adventure in hunting. Some of his favorite memories were made on hunting trips with his sons, and he was proud that they grew to love those experiences just as much as he did.
A proud and loyal BYU fan, Michael could often be found cheering on the Cougars—whether from the stands, the couch, or in spirited game-day chats with his boys. Win or lose, his love for BYU ran deep and brought him countless moments of joy (and a few shouts at the TV).
Known for his sharp wit and playful sense of humor, Michael loved to tease those he cared about, always with a big grin on his face. His jokes, good-natured teasing, and hearty laugh brought joy to everyone around him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Peggy and Lehman Wall, and his three brothers, David, Steven, and Douglas Wall. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Colleen Wall; his three sons, Shawn (Rikki) Wall, Zackery (Kylie) Wall, and McKay Wall; and five beloved grandchildren: Bodee, Wyatt, Emry, Hayes, and Navy. He is also survived by his sister, Julie (Craig) Shepherd, and a large extended family who look forward to a joyful reunion one day.
Michael will be remembered for his strength, his kindness, and the way he made others feel loved—often through a well-timed joke or a heartfelt conversation.
