Melanie Murdock

Calling hours for Melanie Ann Murdock, 69, of Ogdensburg, NY, will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at the United Methodist Church on 627 Caroline St., Ogdensburg. A reception will follow the calling hours at the Church. Melanie passed away on July 24, 2025 at her home surrounded by loving family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home.

She is survived by her loving husband Craig Whitman; her children, Tori Whitman Blair and Craig Whit-man Jr.; her step-children, Nicole Whitman, Jill Whitman Fleming, and Angela Whitman Reid; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, eleven nieces and nephews; and her siblings, Frank Murdock Jr, Joseph Fleming, Robin Gibbs, and Bobby Joe Vandyke. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Debra Barlett.

Melanie was born on February 24th, 1956, the daughter of the late Frank Murdock Sr. and Ida Marion Fleming. She met Craig Whitman in 1977 and enjoyed 48 years together. Melanie was a CNA for 38 years in Canton and then Ogdensburg.
