On August 27, 2025 at 11:45am, Jesus called Mary Annette Stanford (Busby), 88, of Sun City, Arizona, home. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family.
Mary was born on July 24, 1937, in Cedartown, Georgia, to the late Daisy Oline (Clayton) Busby and Harvey Howard Busby.
Mary lived most of her adult life in Toledo, Ohio, where she graduated from Scott High School and later retired from Conrail Railroad. After retirement, she and her husband, Marvin T. Stanford, moved to Florida before settling in Sun City, Arizona, where they both spent their final years together.
She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Sun City and lived her faith through service and fellowship.
Mary is survived by her son, Howard Munding; daughter-in-law, Susie Munding; stepdaughter, Peggy Lige, son-in-law Phil Lige; sisters, Dottie (Busby) Harper and brother-in-law, Buddy Harper, and sister Barbara (Suzie) Faye (Busby) Sareyane; grandchildren, Krissy Gettman, Randy and Rachael Frank, Mitchell Munding, Daniel Munding, and Brandy Madrid, grandson-in-law, Rene Madrid; and great-grandchildren, Evie Nunley, Makayla and Drew Madrid and nephews Travis Luttrell and Ryan Luttrell, and Donald Holton.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marvin T. Stanford; her mother, Daisy Oline (Clayton) Busby; her father, Harvey Howard Busby; and her stepdaughter, Debbie (Stanford) Frank.
Mary will be remembered for her kindness, strong faith, and dedication to her family.
