Mary Bedford Cunningham

Mary Christine, affectionately known as Tina Bedford Cunningham, was born on May 27, 1963, in Chester, Pennsylvania, to the late Celeste Bedford and Howard Bedford. She transitioned peacefully on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at her childhood home, surrounded by love, and in the company of her devoted husband, James “Jimmy” Cunningham.

Education and Career:

Tina attended Daughters of Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Newtonfield, New Jersey, graduating with the Class of 1981. She furthered her education at Maryland Eastern Shore College, where she earned her Nursing Degree in 1985, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Tina became a Registered Nurse (RN) and dedicated her life to caring for others. Her compassionate spirit and nurturing heart made her an exceptional nurse, bringing joy and healing to countless patients.

Passions and Hobbies:

Tina’s love for life was evident in her many passions. She was an avid shopper, known for her exquisite taste in fashion. She loved to travel for both work and leisure, creating lasting memories with family and friends. Above all, she cherished spending quality time with her beloved husband, Jimmy, whom she loved deeply.

Preceded in Death:

Tina was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Celeste Bedford; her older brother, John A. Bedford; and her nephew, Kevin Bedford.

Cherished Memories:

Tina leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be deeply missed. She leaves to cherish her fond memories:

• Her loving husband, James “Jimmy” Cunningham

• Her stepson, Christopher Cunningham

• Two granddaughters, Savannah and Casey

• Her older sister, Cassandra Bedford of Jacksonville, Florida

   

One Brother in law, Robert Cunningham , Oregon

• Her sister-in-law, Pastor Peaches Bedford of Millville, New Jersey

• Her nieces: Loretta Bedford of Jacksonville, Florida; Robin (Paul) Lacy of Berlin, New Jersey

• A host of great-nieces, nephews, and other family members

• A lifelong friend, Marcy McDonald
