Marlin Burkholder

Marlin Jay Burkholder, 43, of Fort Loudon Road, Mercersburg, PA, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2025 at home surrounded by his family following a 15 ½ year journey with a brain tumor.
Born May 6, 1982 in Waynesboro, PA, he was the son of John E. and Marie F. (Diller) Burkholder of Waynesboro.
Marlin was a dairy farmer for most of his life.
He was a member of Millers Mennonite Church, Hagerstown, MD.
In addition to his parents, Marlin is survived by his wife, Mrs. Esther J. (Miller) Burkholder; five children, Kristin J. Eby of Chambersburg, PA, Levon J. Burkholder of Jeffersonville, OH and Lorin J. Burkholder, Cleason J. Burkholder and Clair E. Burkholder, all at home; and eight siblings, Mahlon J. Burkholder of Chambersburg, PA, Joylin Lehman of Keedysville, MD, Jason Burkholder, Evelyn Burkholder, Eldon Burkholder and Lelin Burkholder, all of Waynesboro, Luellen Burkholder of Hagerstown and Carolyn Burkholder of Waynesboro.
A viewing will be held for friends and neighbors from 6 to 8 P.M., Wednesday, June 25 at the family home, 3149 Fort Loudon Road, Mercersburg.
A viewing will also be held from 1 to 3 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M., Thursday, June 26, at Millers Mennonite Church, 20841 Millers Church Road, Hagerstown.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 27 at Millers Mennonite Church. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
The family requests the omission of flowers.
