Maria Sanchez
- May 19, 2025

Maria Luisa Sanchez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, at the age of 81, surrounded by her loving family. Family was the center of Maria’s world. She was a devoted wife to Anastacio “Tato” and a loving mother to Lisette and Alex. Throughout their 64-year marriage, Anastacio and Maria were devoted partners whose deep love and care made them inseparable, each the other’s steady support and constant companion. Lisette and Alex lovingly remember her enthusiasm during childhood vacations and steadfast support during their life’s most cherished moments. Maria was an older sister to her brother, Thomas Feliciano, who she loved and cared for deeply throughout their lives. She was a loving grandmother to Travis, Michael, Vanessa, and Jacob, who affectionately called her ‘Grandma Cuca.’ She filled their lives with comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. They adored her just as much as she adored them, and they will always carry her love with them. To know her was to love her. Those who loved her will always remember her as ‘Mom,’ ‘Sister,’ ‘Esposa,’ ‘Grandma,’ ‘Cuca,’ ‘Titi,’ ‘Amiga,’ and ‘Cookie.’ She approached life with grace and kindness; she was truly a beautiful person. Maria took joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was getting her nails done, cooking, or watching her favorite novelas. Her sense of humor, quick wit, and shared shopping trips remain fond memories cherished by her longtime girlfriends. Her best friend of thirty years, Anna, described their friendship as, “El tiempo que pasaban juntas, lo pasaban muy bien.” Calling to check in on her family members and friends was her way of showing she cared, a small gesture that meant so much to those who received it. Maria will be remembered for her unwavering faith, quiet strength, kind presence, deep love for her family, and love for a sweet treat. She will be missed by her family and friends and remembered for her graciousness, enduring love, and ability to bring light into every room she entered. In her own words, “Uh huh, love you too. God bless you.”
We will love and miss you forever.
