Lyon County deputies pool funds to replace child’s property stolen during violent incident

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office recently investigated a violent crime involving a juvenile victim.

During the course of the investigation, Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Deputies learned that the juvenile victim had personal property taken from him which had not been recovered.

Lyon County Sheriff’s Office Deputies attempted to recover the juvenile victim’s property without success.

After learning that several deputies were planning to replace the juvenile’s lost property with their own money, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Employee Association (LCSEA) Board Members and President decided to use LCSEA funds in order to replace the juvenile victim’s property.

The LCSEA funds are funds paid into by LCSEA Members during the course of their membership. Currently, the LCSEA is comprised of approximately 60 employees.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Employee Association is proud to provide this support to the victim, and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office commends the association for their assistance.

Due to the ongoing investigation, no further details will be released regarding this matter.
