Lydia Meza

Lydia Meza, affectionately known as Lydia, passed away on April 15, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on August 3, 1945 in El Zapatero, Tamazula, Durango, México, she was the daughter of Manuel Macario and Natividad Samano.
Lydia was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and spiritual sister. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Meza Lopez Sr., and one child Juan Jose Acosta and is survived by her 5 children—Berta, Jose Luis, Jose Manuel, Veronica, and Pedro Jr.—as well as 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
A woman of deep faith, Lydia became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 2000 and was an active member of the Soledad Congregation. Her spiritual conviction and kind heart touched many lives.
Lydia was known for her warmth, resilience, and exceptional cooking. Her kitchen was always open, and her love was felt in every meal she prepared.
She lived a humble life rooted in faith, family, and generosity. Lydia’s door was always open, her counsel always thoughtful, and her love always unconditional.
She will be remembered for her enduring strength, her sense of humor, and the legacy of love and faith she leaves behind.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Soledad, followed by burial at Soledad Cemetery.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

at Woodyard Funeral Home

Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11 am
at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 100 Moranda Rd, Soledad
