Ludmila Yashnyk

Ludmila Yashnyk, 88, of Mount Vernon passed away on Monday morning, November 3, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on January 22, 1937 in Slawjanks, Ukraine to the late Gregory and Maria (Kutcherenko) Dzambasow.

Ludmila was a member of the Saint Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. She worked in the Heating and Cooling business as a credit manager for 19 years.

Ludmila is survived by her husband, Gregory Yashnyk Sr. whom she married on May 17, 1959; son, Gregory N. (Amy) Yashnyk Jr. and Michael A. (Elizabeth) Yashnyk; granddaughters, Marissa and Elizabeth; grandsons, Nickolas, Zachary, and Sean; great grandson, Liam; and a great granddaughter, Rylan.

In addition to her parents, Ludmila was preceded in death by a sister, Lana Holop; and a brother, Alexander Dzambason.

The family will have a private service celebrating the life of Ludmila.
