Lorene Brink

Lorene Marie Brink, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, in Modesto, California. She was born on December 23, 1948, in Modesto to Earl and Mary Stanton and remained a lifelong resident of the Central Valley.

A proud Modesto High Panther, Class of 1967, Lorene cherished the friendships she formed during her school years. She remained close with a special group of classmates, gathering regularly for lunches and laughter throughout her life.

Lorene dedicated 45 years of service to Sutter Gould Medical Foundation, where her work reflected her deep sense of care and commitment to others. At home, she was the heart of her family—an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother whose nurturing nature kept everything running smoothly. She never missed a sporting event or extracurricular activity, cheering proudly for her children and later her granddaughters.

Her sons credit much of their own success to Lorene’s unwavering encouragement and support. She found joy in celebrating every holiday, transforming each one into a special, memory-filled occasion with her love of decorating and hosting. An avid Los Angeles Dodgers fan, Lorene also enjoyed cheering on her team season after season.

Lorene leaves behind her devoted husband of 26 years, Kirk Brink; her sons, Kristopher Tinkle and Kevin Tinkle and daughter-in-law, Emily Cline and her treasured granddaughters, Grace Cline-Tinkle and Elizabeth Cline-Tinkle. She is also survived by her brother, James Stanton, along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever remember her warmth and generosity.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Franklin & Downs Funeral Home, 1050 McHenry Avenue, Modesto, CA.

Lorene’s legacy of love, dedication, and family will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
