Lora Kay Blevins, 65, of Pullman, WV, departed this life on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at her sister’s residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Lora was born March 7, 1960, in Tanner, WV (Gilmer County) a daughter to the late Milton Edward and Sadie Maxine (Bailey) Blevins. For 31 years, Lora worked as an LPN. She also worked as a cake decorator for more than 10 years and she greatly enjoyed cooking, baking, and her gardens. Lora loved the Lord. She attended church at the Bible Baptist Church in Graham, GA and also the Pullman Church of God. Family was most important to her. She greatly enjoyed spending time with them and being around them.
She is survived by her grandson, Joseph Hughes of Pennsboro, WV; her siblings, Roger Blevins of Ellenboro, WV; Naomi Maynard of Henlawson, WV; Paul Blevins of Madison, WV; Rebecca Lilly of Davin, WV; Thomas Blevins of Brook Park, OH; Linda Workman of Cyclone, WV; Jack Blevins of Brook Park, OH; Dorothy Workman of Pullman, WV; Teresa Johnson of Parkersburg, WV; Joann Mitchell of Vienna, WV; John Blevins of Walker, WV; Janet Collins of Walker, WV, along with her loving nieces and nephews and her dog, Lucy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Andrew Blevins and Matthew Lilly, and her sister, Amanda Blevins.
Funeral services will be 1pm, Thursday at the Cox’s Mills Church of God, 1964 WV 74, Cox’s Mills, WV, 26342 with her sister, Linda Workman officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Horn Creek Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6pm on Wednesday, at the church.
