Marshall, Linda Ann (née Penrose)
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Campbell House Hospice in Collingwood, at the age of 78, with her beloved nieces by her side.
Linda was a proud and active member of the Wasaga Beach community and a devoted wife to the late Jack Marshall (2021). She is lovingly remembered by her sister Diane Lysak (predeceased by John) and her brother Alan Penrose. She was a cherished aunt to James Lysak, Melissa Zaurrini (Ermanno), and Heather Lysak (Travis Lang), and a great-aunt to Hunter Lang. Linda also leaves behind her treasured grandson Evan, her dear friend Nigel Wilson, and many close friends and neighbours.
Linda will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering thoughtfulness. She had a deep appreciation for nature and was passionate about gardening and the preservation of Monarch butterflies, dedicating many years to their tagging and migration efforts. She was an active member of the Prime Time Club and the Horticultural Society, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed her time generously.
Linda shared her life with two adored and mischievous cats, Muppet and Max. A vibrant and social spirit, she enjoyed darts, dancing, fitness, and music. She and Jack spent many joyful years together cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays, supporting their neighbours, and creating lasting memories. Linda took great joy in attending family milestones, always arriving with a warm smile, a heartfelt hug, and a story to share.
She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Stayner Union Cemetery, 7661 Highway 26, Stayner. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hospice Georgian Triangle Foundation would be gratefully appreciated by the family.
