Linda Sue Lawson, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 20, 2025. She was born on January 29, 1942, in Joplin, MO, to Richard Lee and Lela Laverne (Norvell) Havens.

Linda was a strong, hard working mother that took great pride in her yard work and enjoyed caring for all animals to include the horses and many, many dogs over the years. She worked 20+ years at Walmart in Granbury, but her great love was in her older years working as a bus driver and an aide for Lipan ISD. Linda was loved by all that knew her and will be missed by many family and friends to include the rodeos and any events her grandchildren attended.

Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlotte Thompson, yet her strong faith always knew they would be reunited again.

She is survived by her sisters Carolyn Perrin, Marsha Ferriman and husband Mike. Her son, James wheeler and wife Lynne. Her daughter Darcie Billue and husband Jimmy. Grandchildren Christopher wheeler, Jessica Dean, Lela Thompson, Haley Wheeler, Jacob Wheeler , Ryan wheeler, Danielle Bussey, and several great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her significant other of many years Floyd Prater.

Her life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11:00 am, at Lipan Cowboy Church, 205 West Lipan Drive, Lipan, Texas, 76462.
