Linda Harger

Linda Lee Harger, 82, of Oskaloosa, died Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Northern Mahaska Specialty Care in Oskaloosa. She was born April 23, 1943, in Boonville, Indiana, the daughter of James H. and Doris Fern Goodwin Duckworth. She attended Boonville Indiana High School. Linda was united in marriage to Daniel Harger. To this union four children were born, Daniel, Deborah, Suzanne, and Jeffrey. Linda and Daniel enjoyed many trips out west mining for copper and silver. The two of them later divorced. Linda worked various jobs over the years including being a cashier, bartender, and house cleaner. Her favorite was always caring for her family and home. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Oskaloosa where she was active in ladies Bible study and women’s connection. She enjoyed traveling and playing Bingo and Scrabble. She delighted in spending time with her family and friends.

Her family includes her children, Daniel Harger of Nevada, Deborah Hart of Indiana, Suzanne (Jeff) Hughes of Indiana, and Jeffrey Harger of Nevada; ten grandchildren, Jessica, Jennifer, Lacy, Lindsay, Daniel, Sara, Scotty, Joey, Miley and Eric; many great and great great grandchildren; and a sister, Carrol Hale of Oskaloosa; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Tim “Curly” Hart; a grandson, Corey Hughes; and a sister, Shannon McDonald

As was Linda’s wish, her body has been cremated. A private family burial of her urn will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Petersburg, Indiana.
